Dallas Moore here. We have a nice hog down, and we’re going to take this meat and show you how to load it up in one of the ICON pro packs. We have the 1850 here and the first thing we’re going to do is unbuckle the center straps and get those out. Undo the top here. If you have a hydration hose up here, you’re going to want to undo that, take that and tuck it in here so it doesn’t get dirty when we’re moving this pack around. Take this out loosen these four bottom straps and undo the center hook Loosen these guys off. We’re at the bottom of a creek here, so it’s not the ideal, flattest surface, but it’ll work. Lay that down,. We have the rear half of the pig here. I want to try and get the meat centered as much as we can. Take these ones and get them done up here at the top first. Get that meat up, come back to the bottom and create a wedge, so get the bottom straps as cinched up as we can. Make sure we have the bottom tight so the meat doesn’t slide down at all. Once you got that, we can come back up here, and again, keep that meat centered. Loosen these side straps up, come back around and connect in the center. We also have a new prototype game bag that we’re testing out here today. Make sure we get that load really as secure as you can. Get those top ones up as well. And there you have it. You have your frame, your meat, and your bag with your day hunting gear.

That’s how you load up game onto the Icon Pro 1850 using the load sling.

  • Seriously love your products, but these videos are so bad at showing how to attach some things. Also, I'd love to see the pdf's of how to set these up on the site. It's a huge frustration that I can't see that.

  • It would have been a more user friendly video, had it been filmed in a more controlled environment…this hunter really did not focus on the connections at the bottom.

  • Thanks for the new vid. Still confused as to how the "sling" works. Looks like there is just a couple straps now. You don't add a strap across the middle under the load to keep it from sliding down? And there is no longer a strap to stabilize the load directly to the frame? Sorry, but from what I can see this pack is a step backwards from the previous 1850. Could we get a video showing the differences and what makes this new version better? I decided to buy this pack instead of one with a shelf off the frame because I saw the video of the 1850 with an actual sling that looked like it would be sufficient. Thank you for your time.

  • Just heard you on the Jay Scott Podcast! Great stuff… never really looked into KUIU until now, but man I'm floored! I'm a Coues hunter here in Southern Arizona and this looks like my ideal sized pack… very cool and nice load up too!
When I get my hands on one, I'll throw a video up on my channel too:)
