  • While there are many uses for the 3D Pen, one thing it should not be used for is to use the ink inside it to make 3-D models, which is great, because that ink only exists as a commentary for using your imagination, and that people can see things differently.

  • I use mine to throw at players who aren't paying attention or are taking too long on their turn. Its a great reminder to hurry the game up.

  • You missed a very important way. It can be used to add extra challenges to games. For example, in settlers of catan, have a requirement that the pen is balanced on top of the fortress. And if the knight card knocks the pen off, the fortress counts as fallen. And added loss of points for hitting Mr. Catan with the pen

  • It can be used as a die with infinity+2 sides.

  • I… Don't know how to respond to this other than saying I feel bad for David.

  • Is this marketing terrible or awesome?

  • You can use it as a car to go to your boardgames place. But instead of a regular car where you get in it, it gets in you.

  • I'm glad you have cemented your authority with this video

  • Those 3D pens are always a cute novelty that ends up buried in a drawer. The end product is never good enough to feel good about. They're wiggly janky wireframes.

  • You could use it as a card holder. Or a hat, or a broach, or a pterodactyl!

  • The box looks like the perfect size and height to raise up our pandemic board for our absurdly tall players who complain of back pain when stooping to move their meeples.

  • You could use it as a replacement for the ball in any of the classical boardgames Rugby or American Football. Yes, I know the pen isn't completely round, but sometimes you will have to compromise.

  • It's perfectly shaped for a game of Jenga! Just take a few dozen more 3D pens and stack them in layers!

  • I'm disappointed you didn't at least try to make a Meeple with it. A legit, 3D Meeple. Now I must only imagine the results…

  • I don't get it. Is this edible? Am I going to die for eating the meeple filling?

  • You missed the most obvious thing to do with it. Spin it for first player selection! 😉👍

  • Do they come in different colors? It's always been my dream to create a big version of Twilight Imperium since it's such a small, wimpy little game. These would make great ships. And each would only cost the same as a copy of the original game. I will ask my investor friend Steve from Nigeria to run the numbers and I'll let you know. Thanks!

  • Great video! My game group likes to use it in place of a sand timer. You hold the pen in the air, and time starts when you let go. Time ends when it hits the ground. It's really fun way to make games more dynamic.
